Mitchell (aka Ribinson) Cemetery, Darby Township, Union County, OH

Gravestone Photographs

The Mitchell/Robinson Cemetery is the earliest in Union County having been used as by the Indians before the white settlers arrived.  Many of the first settlers in this part of the county are buried here; among them are Samuel McCullough who died in 1800 and the first female white child born in Ohio.  The cemetery is located on the north side of Big Darby Creek on State Route 38 south of Marysville.  The west half of the cemetery is the old pioneer cemetery and on the east is the "new" portion which is still in use.
