Aaron Howard Reed REED Lance Corporal Aaron Howard Reed went Home to be with the Lord, August 3, 2005, at Barwanah, Iraq. He was killed in action while serving with the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Fourth Division, Lima Company. Aaron was born August 23, 1983 in Chil- licothe, OH. He is survived by his parents, Stephen (Kathleen) Reed and Sara (Larry) Duvall. Other survivors are his brother, Matthew Stephen Reed; sisters, Jill Leigh Duvall, Holly (Aamir) Deen, Cara (Christopher) Althoff; niece, Ilex Althoff; grand- parents, Mary Reed, Ralph and Phyllis Aquino, and June Ginther; uncles, Don (Jennifer) Aquino, Chaplain (LTC) Andrew (Tamara) Aquino; aunts, Carol Aquino, Debbie Gillum; great-aunts, Marie Coffman and Dorothy (Share) Flesher. He is also survived by cousins, Bill and John Coffman, Mike Reed, Emily (Brock) Fields, Adam, Phillip, Jarrel, Michael, Britney, and Allie Aquino and Tuesday Thomas. He was predeceased by his uncle, Howard Reed, and his grandfather, Roger Reed. Aaron graduated from Southeastern High School in 2001 where he ran cross-country and track, and served as Senior Class President. He had also attended Ohio University Chillicothe. He had received Jesus as his Savior as a child, was a member of the Richmond Dale UM Church, and had also been active with the Richmond Dale Church of God Youth Group for several years. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 11. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 12 at the Shoemaker Center, Ohio University, Chillicothe, with Pastor Kevin McLaughlin of the Concord Methodist Church of Chillicothe and Reverend Wendy Fish of the First Unitarian-Universalist Church of Columbus officiating. A military graveside service will be held at the Concord Cemetery on Concord Church Road, with interment to follow.
