RICHARDSON-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME (http://richardsondavis.com/), 13 May 2005 Kendall H. Ivy, II, 28 of Galion and a Staff Sgt. with the United States Marine Corps was killed in action in Iraq Wednesday, May 11, 2005. Born September 15, 1976 in Galion, he was the son of Raymond Ivy and Venita "Kay" (Duffner) Ivy who survive in Galion. He is survived by his wife Lee Ann R. (Needs) Ivy whom he married September 21, 1996. He was very much a family man and was looking forward to coming home and spending time with his family. Upon the completion of his service to the Marine Corps he was planning to continue his education and become a history teacher and coach. He grad- uated from Galion High School in 1995 and was a well known athlete playing football and baseball. He has served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years where he was currently a Staff Sergant in the infantry. Surviving are two sons, Caleb and Harrison Ivy and a daughter, Reagan Ivy, all at home;their fourth child is expected in October. He is also survived by three brothers and a sister and their spouses, Kenneth and Charlette Ivy, Kathy and Doug Shifley and Kevin and Michelle Ivy, all of Galion and Keith and Becki Ivy of Greenwich and 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother Kendall Howard Ivy, I. Visitation and funeral services will be scheduled pending his return from Dover, Delaware. All arrangements will be announced here immediately as they are planned and in the media as soon as possible after they are planned. The funeral services will be held at Crossway Assembly of God, 200 Gelsanliter Road, Galion, OH 44833 at a time to yet be determined. Public visitation will be held at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St., Galion, OH 44833 the day prior to the funeral services. A trust fund for his children has been established at First Federal Bank of Ohio, 140 North Columbus St., Galion, OH 44833 and may be made there or at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St., Galion, OH 44833.
