THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH, Saturday, 14 May 2005 Corporal Dustin A. Derga DERGA Corporal Dustin A. Derga, age 24, of Pickerington, Sunday May 8, 2005, was killed in action, while conducting combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dustin was a member of Lima Company, 3rd Ba talion, 25th Marine Regiment (Infantry). He was a volunteer for Basil Fire Department and a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He is survived by his father, Robert H. (Marla) Derga Jr.; mother, Stephanie Derga; sister, Kristin Derga; grandparents, Louis and Marcella Jones and Carol and John O'Leary; uncles, Craig (Ellen) Jones and Christopher (Kathy) Derga; aunts, Barbara (John) Anezinis and Theresa (Tom) Spanos; cousins, McKenna, Carson Jones, Tricia, Michael Anezinis, George, Alexis, Jennifer Spanos, Andrew and Sarah Derga; girlfriend, Kristin Earhart; best friend, Chris Smith; special family friend, Brandon Harmon; and many other friends and family. Friends may visit Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, Pickerington. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Peace United Methodist Church, 235 Diley Road, Pickerington, with Pastor Kevin Orr officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
