NOTES:     "William PAUL was the last man executed by hanging in
           this prison.  He dropped through the trap-door April
           29, 1896 for shooting Joseph YOCKEY, his father-in-law,
           July 5, 1894."  The crime was "the result of Yockey's
           filing a warrant for the arrest of Paul, for a violation
           of the law."
