BAUGESS Raymond E. "Brownie" Baugess, 81, of West Jefferson, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 in Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1925 in Trench, KY, the son of Curtis B. and Virgie (Stapleton) Baugess. Raymond was employed at G.M. for 42 years. A Veteran of WWII, he was a member of the D.A.V. and a proud republican. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, news and current events. He enjoyed watching the races and was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. A devoted husband and Father, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia A. (Parsons); one daughter, Vicki Baugess of Columbus; two sons, Jeffrey Baugess of Circleville and Randall (Lorraine) Baugess of Ashville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gretchen Porter of Orient, Laraine Uhley of Michigan, Virginia (Ron) Hiermer of Galloway and Betty (Robert) Herriott of Georgia; three brothers, Fritz (Lee), Chad (Rachel) and Leo (Gloria) Baugess, all of Grove City; and numerous nieces and nephews of several generations. He is pre- ceded in death by his parents, son Michael, sister Greta and brother Curtis. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2006 in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, OH. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Joel Kocher officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery.
