Margaret was a daughter of William and Martha A. (_?_) M^cBride; she was born April 4, 1871 in Pennsylvania and died April 4, 1908 in Coulumbus and is buried at Green Lawn Cemetery. Margaret married Ralph Marling and they had two children, Chester Wilson Marling and Gladys, both born in Columbus. Margaret died in childbirth leaving my grandmother, Gladys, who was only 8 years old at the time and her little brother, Chester. My great grandfather remarried soon afterward and they left Columbus. My grandmother no contact with her mother's family after that. William and Martha were both born in Pennsylvania and lived in Steubenville in Jefferson County before they came to Franklin County. They were living with Ralph and Margaret McBride Marling at the time of the 1900 census. After Margaret died, they disappeared from the census records entirely.
