Gravestone Photographs

Hopewell Methodist Episcopal Cemetery is located west of Braun Road on the bank of Little Walnut Creek and was established about 1815.  It is maintained by the Madison Township trustees, though most of the stones are missing.  According to the sign on the fence the cemetery is open "Day Light to Dark."  Among the early pioneers buried in this cemetery are Alexander Cameron (ca. 1784-1846); Philip Pontius (ca. 1784-1845); George Rarey (ca. 1795-1850) and their wives.
