THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH, Monday, 5 May 2003, page 4C. HIGGINS Howard E. Higgins, 81, May 2, 2003, Doctor's Hospital West. WW II veteran who proudly served in the US Army Air Corps. Retired in 1987 from Columbus Auto Parts. He loved nature and music, for a number of years shared his passion for playing the guitar and singing with the seniors residing in the local nursing homes in the Lancaster area. Preceded in death by wives, Dorothy P. (June 1981) and Dorothy J. "Dottie" (February 1993), children Sheldon (February 1963) and Glenna (September 1989). He leaves behind to all who knew him many fond memories to be forever cherished. Among these recipients of such a precious gift is his sister, Ms. Eleanor Hull; also with love, his dear friend and companion, Billie "Mom" Morgan; Blessed with the most wonderful father is son, Robert "Rob" Higgins; and daughters, Bonnie Gilg, Ruthie (Bob) Adair, and Linda (Ellis) Stump. Howard will also be leaving behind cherished memories of his love in the hearts of 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
