Shoemaker, 80 of 1731 Summit-st, died this morning at Mt. Carmel Hospital after a month's illness. Mr. Shoemaker was a retired employe [sic.] of the Standard oil Co., having been a special field representative of that company for 50 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Capital City Lodge, F&AM., Scottish Rite, Aladdin Shrine, and the Buckeye lake yacht Club. Mr. Shoemaker had been a Columbus resident for 76 years, having been born at Washington C. H. he is survived by his wife, Ida Burke Shoemaker; one son, Edwin A. Shoemaker, at home; a sister, Cherrie O. Shoemaker, 386 E. Northwood-av. Services will be Tuesday at 3:30 at the Weir funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
