(From the Columbus Dispatch 3/21/1935) SCHOEDINGER RITES WILL BE FRIDAY. NOTED FUNERAL DIRECTOR SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK. Funeral services for Ferdinand P. Schoedinger, aged 54, well-known Columbus funeral director and active in Masonic Circles, who died at his home, 57 Parkwood Avenue, Wednesday night will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, in St. John’s Evangelical and Reform- ed Church of which he was a member. Dr. Frank H. Throop, pastor of Central Presby- terian Church will officiate. Mr. Schoedinger, whose death followed a week’s illness from heart disease, was a member of the firm of Schoedinger & Co. with which he had been associated for 30 years. He was a graduate of Ohio State University, was a Thirty-third degree Mason, a post potentate of Aladdin Temple of the Shrine, a past president of the National Funeral Directors Association, and a past president of the Columbus Athletic Club. Mr. Schoedinger was a member of the board of directors of the Player’s Club, a member of the Columbus Country Club, Rotary Club, Junia Lodge of Odd Fellows and Faculty Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Peters Schoedinger; a daughter Miss Ann Schoedinger; son, Ferdinand P. Schoedinger, Jr; bro- ther George R. Schoedinger and one sister Miss Helen Schoedinger. He was a son of the late George J. and Anna A. Schoedinger. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. The body will be at the residence until the funeral.
