Services for Mr. Morton, father of Mrs. William Porter, 1116 Wilson avenue, who died Wednesday at Avalon, N.J., will be held Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. in the Fisher Broad street mortuary. Burial will be in Green Lawn cemetery. *********************** Newark Advocate and American Tribune, 9 May 1930, stated: Elijah Morton, 64, glass blower and former employe of the American Bottle company, died suddenly Wednesday morning in Avalon, N.J. He left Newark about 18 years ago, and for a time was employed in Massillon. A daughter, Mrs. Emma Morton Porter, of Columbus, survives. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in the Fisher mortuary, East Broad street, Columbus.
