Paul W. Thompson Sr., age 75*, of Circleville, Oh., Tuesday April 11, 1995,
Chillocothe V.A. Hospital.  Retired Army Staff Sgt. 46th Field Artillery
5th Infantry Division.  Veteran of WW II and Korea, and a P.O.W. and Purple
Heart recipient.  Member of D.A.V.  Survived by wife, Ruth; daughters,
Rebecca (Randy) Gilmore, Columbus, Paula Thompson, Glenna Thompson, Marie
Bowling, all of Circleville, Ruthy (Vernon) Noggle, Canal Winchester; sons,
Paul William Thompson Jr., Circleville, Douglas Lynn (Gerri) Thompson, Va.;
13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Smith, Esther
Zigler and Hildred Henry.  Preceded in death by granddaughter Michelle. 
Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, where full military service
will be held 2 p.m.  Thursday in the chapel of the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL
HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Oh.  Interment Arlington
Memory Gardens.
