WILHELM (WILLIAM) BOESHANSZ*:  born 20 JUL 1807, Germany, the son of John and Margaret Boeshansz, and died 5 JUL 1883, Columbus, OH of dropsy and was interred Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH. 8 JUL 1883 in Section K., Lot 48 (Interment #11288) by Schoedinger Funeral Home. 

An Intent to naturalize was filed for William Boeshanz in Book #10, Franklin Co. in 1841. It was listed that he was from Bavaria.

 

A marriage has been found William Boeshans,  Franklin Co., OH  (#4-22) 17 AUG 1841 to MAGDALENA  OCHL (possibly could be OEHL)   by Chas. Schaffer, M.G.

 

Married MAGDALINA ELL  born 29 NOV 1819, Germany, the daughter of George Adam (born 17 MAR 1787 Oberulsenback, Markt Erlbach Kreis, Middle Franconia, died MAY 1859, Cols. Fr. Co. OH)   and  Katherine (Pfander) Ell and died 6 MAY 1903, Columbus, OH., also of dropsy and buried Green Lawn Cemetery. (Interment Card #31398) Lot 48 Section K 8 MAY 1903 by Schoedinger and Bros.

The 1860 Montgomery Twp., Franklin Co. Census: William Boeshans 52 GER, farmer, Real estate $2500, Personal $500, Magdalena 41 GER; Elizabeth 15 OH; William 13 OH; Jacob 11 OH; Peter 9 OH; Louisa 4 OH, Ann 4 OH; Phoebe 1 OH

 

The 1870 William Boeshins Montgomery Twp., Franklin Co. Census: 63 Bavaria, Farmer, Real estate $4000 Personal $500; Magdalena 50 Bavaria; Jacob 21 OH; Peter 19 OH; Louisa 16 OH; Mary 14 OH; Phoebe 11 OH; John 8 OH

 

The 1880 Marion Twp., Franklin Co. Census: Wm. Boeshans 72 GER, Carpenter,  Fath & moth GER; Magdalena 61 GER, Fath & moth GER; John Boeshans, son 18 OH, farmer.

 

The Burial Plat at Green Lawn Cemetery (Sec. K, Lot 48) has only one stone, and on this stone is WILHELM BOESHANSZ, GEB. 20 JULI 1807, 5 GEST. JULI 1883.  However this Burial Plat contains the following People, per Green Lawn Cemetery records. 

 

1.        #1100 WILLIAM BOESHANS, child,  LUDWIG, died APR 1858

2.        #6154 FREDERICKA NEIBERLINE, 1874, granddaughter.(daughter of Margaret, b.7/26/1874-d.10/14)

3.        #9502 MARGARET BOESHANS died 12 DEC 1880, age 4 years. (daughter of Jacob, b. 6/30/1876)

4.        #11288 WILLIAM BOESHANSZ 1883, owner

5.        #31398 MAGDALINA BOESHANS 1903, widow

6.         #34047 JOHN NIEBERLINE 1905, son-in-law

7.        #60262 MARGARET NIEBERLINE 1924, daughter.

K., born Nov. 29, 1819 Germany; Died May 6, 1903, Columbus, Ohio; Parents names, George and Magdalena Ell; cause of death Dropsy; undertaker Schoedinger & Bro.; interment May 8, 1903, V.G. $20.00.   (This interment card does not indicate the correct mother --- in my opinion --- it should be Katharine Pander.—further is Katharine  the CATHERINA ELISABETHA PFAENDTER, who was christened 25 APR 1788 Heidelberg, Baden and her parents were Joann’s and Catharine (Wicking) Painter???????)
