Preceeded in death by wife Mildred. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Edward and Lois Sensenbrenner, Troy, Oh., Richard and Sandra Sensenbrenner, Columbus; sister, Genevieve Emmons; grandchildren, Mrs. David (Patricia) Leeke, Mrs. Marvin (Cynthia) Gifford, Douglas, Judith, Shirli, Karin, Richard and Daniel Sensenbrenner; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Leeke. He was a Deacon and Elder of Hope Memorial Presbyterian Church. Teacher of the Fidelis Adult Sunday School Class of Hope Church for over twenty years. Member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church; 50 years of service with the Boy Scouts of America; past President of the Camp Fire Girls; Board member of the Volunteers of America; pas President of Hilltop Kiwanis; member of Big Brothers, Elks, Eagles, Moose, YMCA, Goodwill Industries and Fraternal order of police Association. Served four terms as Mayor of Columbs, Oh. He was first elected in 1954 and was only the second Democratic Mayor to serve the city in 35 years. Under his leadership, Columbus grew from an area of 41 square miles to a city of over 612,000 residents with some 140 square miles in area. He helped to bring to Columbus the "All-American City" award in 1959. He received the voceted Betsy Ross Award and was selected as the Outstanding Mayor in the Nation by the Fraternal Order of Egles. Janice Hilkerbaumer presiding with Rev. Edward Sensenbrenner and Rev. Robert Armstrong, assisting. Burial Forest Cemeter, Circleville.
